Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Service Technician
C & H Solutions is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team at the Aggregate location in Nunn, Colorado!
The Mechanic will work independently to maintain and repair processing plant equipment and heavy equipment, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to complete repairs safely and efficiently. The Mechanic will primarily work out of their service truck, and occasionally in the shop. C & H Solutions provides multiple services: solids control, fabrication and welding, trucking, engineering, dirt construction, custom farming and more!

- Maintain and repair jaw crushers, cone crushers, screening plants, belts, conveyors, and other rock production and processing equipment
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain late-model and newer CAT, John Deere, and Volvo equipment, as well as semi-trucks, dump trucks, and side-dump trailers.
- Diagnose and repair Tier 4 Final diesel engines and emissions systems.
- Electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Replace hydraulic hoses
- Diagnose problems using computer tools and manuals
- Repair, rebuild, and replace damaged or worn equipment components and parts.
- Identify required parts and order appropriate replacement parts for repairs and maintenance following a P.O. system.
- Implement a maintenance schedule and conduct routine oil changes, lubrication and preventative maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other equipment necessary to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Effectively communicate and work within a team environment
- Wear all required PPE while on the job
- Maintain machinery and equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition
- Assist with maintenance projects company-wide including but not limited to farm equipment, manure equipment, heavy equipment, etc.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs on equipment, crusher components and structural steel
- Diagnose and repair A/C and climate-control systems on equipment.
Schedule:
Hours may vary based on company needs
- Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Saturday from 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM
The ideal applicant would enjoy working outside in all elements, be reliable, detail-orientated and a team player. The Mechanic must have their own basic set of tools to stock their company pick-up.
The Mechanic must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record as reflected by MVR. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing, as well as a pre-employment physical.
