Position Summary

East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, Colorado is seeking a Speech Language Therapist to provide screening, evaluation, and rehabilitation services for patients with speech and language disorders. The role follows a Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM schedule, with no holidays or weekends. The position offers an estimated pay range of $39.00–$65.00 per hour, in accordance with State Pay Transparency Rules.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate intervention; develop a plan of care and treatment goals as ordered by a physician or referral source.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans that consider patients’ physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age‑specific needs; ensure the plans are supported by current literature and re‑evaluate them as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, and other care providers to promote participation and attainment of therapeutic program goals; provide individualized home programs with clear instructions.
  • Document patient treatment in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the training of other staff and students.
  • Follow the plan of care within established procedures and scope of practice, make independent judgments based on specialized knowledge, and confer with the supervisor on any unusual situations; interact with nursing, medical staff, interdisciplinary team, physician offices, patient families, third‑party payers, and suppliers.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
    • Current licensure in the state of practice;
      Certificate of Clinical Competence or documented acceptance in a Clinical Fellowship year; BLS certification required.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and human‑relation skills; ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
    • Proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient‑care environment.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
