Family Support Coach / Supervisor
Manna Resource Center is a faith-based nonprofit organization founded to strengthen individuals and families in Douglas County, Colorado and the surrounding area through programs that provide holistic care and support in the areas of self-sufficiency, wellness, and family development. Manna Resource Center operates three core programs:
Manna Resource Center Coaching, Prevention Family Support, and Manna Community Wellness. The Manna Resource Center Coaching and Prevention Family Support programs integrate coaching, community engagement, resource navigation, and family support to help participants and their families build greater self-sufficiency. Manna Community Wellness complements these services by providing professional mental health support to Manna clients.
The Family Support Coach / Supervisor provides comprehensive voluntary services to families screened out of child protective services by Douglas County Human Services. The primary focus of the program is to engage families and connect them with community services to prevent deeper involvement in the child welfare system. This position provides education, support, case management, and resource navigation using strength-based, family-centered, and trauma-informed practices.
In addition to serving families, this position supervises and supports Family Support Coaches through ongoing supervision, professional development, coaching, and accountability. The Supervisor ensures consistent application of coaching best practices, program expectations, Family Development principles, and Trauma-Informed Care.
This role also provides strategic leadership in supporting Manna Resource Center's mission and culture in partnership with the Executive Director and Director of Organizational Development. A flexible schedule is required, including occasional evenings and weekends and the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings.
Major areas of responsibility include staff supervision & leadership, assessment, coaching, resource navigation, collaboration, strategic planning, outreach, staff development & accountability, and event support.
Program operations responsibilities include engaging and interviewing families for program enrollment and completing needs assessments using the CFSA
2. Maintain a caseload of approximately 5–10 active families and provide case management services. Conduct home or community visits as appropriate to establish rapport, assess needs, develop family-centered service plans, and provide follow-up. Develop effective case plans addressing parenting skills, family relationships, economic stressors, safety, and community connectedness. Connect families with community resources and provide ongoing follow-up to assess goal attainment and additional needs.
Collaborate with community partners, including Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Education, and Medical providers, to coordinate services. Advocate for families with public benefit agencies, landlords, educational institutions, and other entities as needed. Provide direct services and educational programming focused on strengthening families and increasing protective factors. Supervise, support, and provide ongoing guidance to assigned Family Support Coaches through regular check-ins, coaching, feedback, and accountability.
Provide consultation regarding complex family needs, resource navigation, case management, engagement strategies, and appropriate next steps. Monitor coaching practices and documentation to ensure consistency with Manna Resource Center's mission, Family Development approach, Trauma-Informed Care principles, and program standards. Support onboarding and training of new coaching staff and identify professional development needs and opportunities. Maintain accurate client records, case notes, assessments, service plans, and program data in Douglas County Department of Human Services systems, TRAILS, and empowOR.
Prepare reports regarding referrals, home visits, services, and other program measures as required. Assist with tracking program expenditures and revenues to support compliance with program budgets. Participate in required state, county, and program trainings and meetings and implement applicable rules, regulations, and quality standards. Participate in ongoing training related to Quality Standards for Family Strengthening & Support and Trauma-Informed Care.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field. Two years of full-time experience working directly with clients or families in a human services-related field. Previous experience in leadership, supervision, coaching, or professional development preferred. Knowledge of the child welfare system is preferred.
