Position Purpose
As a Swim Teacher at FOSS, you’ll teach life‑saving swim skills to children and adults in a এমন, safe, and splashy environment. No experience is required—paid training is provided to help you confidently teach our Swim Path curriculum. If you have a passion for water, share your love of swimming with the community and help students develop life‑enriching skills that build confidence and safety around water.

Schedule:
Minimum 10‑12 hours/week - Competitive Pay:
Starting at $19.50+/hour (plus $3/hour for weekend shifts, $1/hour for substitute shifts) - Year‑Round Employment & Growth Opportunities

Part‑time (3 shifts/week)
- Shift type: 3‑hour shifts
- Weekday Evening shifts (starting at 3:45 emf)
- Weekend shifts (+$3.00/hour)
- Substitute shifts (+$1.00/hour)
- Teach 1‑4 students per class using hands‑on instruction following the FOSS Swim Path curriculum and promote swimmer safety.
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience for students, similar to working in daycare or childcare settings.
- Engage with parents/guardians on swimmer progress.
- Demonstrate the FOSS Cultural Pillars:
Connect, Collaborate, Empower, Belong. - Bring fun, energy, and connection to every lesson.
- Must be 18+ years old》和
- Comfortable working in a 91‑degree, chlorinated indoor pool
- Able to lift/hold up to 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Experience with children preferred (aquatic experience a plus)
- Ability to work in water and go underwater to demonstrate the physical movements necessary to teach the FOSS Swim Path curriculum.
- Work in a warm, humid indoor pool environment with water temperatures up to 91 degrees.
- Ability to beploi to noise, chemicals, industrial equipment, and supplies.
- Communicate professionally and age‑appropriately with teammates, adults, and children.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
