The BMS Assistant Football Coach supports the BMS Head Coach to develop and maintain a high-quality football program that promotes excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship. The coach assists each participating student and head coach in achieving a higher level of skill, an enhanced appreciation for teamwork, and an increased level of confidence. The assistant coach supports a program organized around fundamentals, rules, strategies, and physical training in a safe environment.
The coach must be professional, organized and dedicated. The coach is responsible for conducting practice times after academic classes and supervising the team at school activities.

Overview
The BMS Assistant Football Coach supports the BMS Head Coach to develop and maintain a high-quality football program that promotes excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship. The coach assists each participating student and head coach in achieving a higher level of skill, an enhanced appreciation for the values of teamwork, and an increased level of confidence. The assistant coach assists the head coach who organizes, coordinates, and promotes a comprehensive program of sport instruction designed around fundamentals, rules, strategies, and physical training in a safe environment.

Qualifications- Maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Submit fingerprints for a criminal background check.
- Completed and submitted BSD online application.

Program – Assist The Head Coach To- Maintain an active and effective sports program that promotes good sportsmanship and student development through participation in practices, activities, and competitions.
- Develop a practice schedule and organize practice time to provide both individual and team development.
- Assess strengths and decide athletic levels.
- Supervise athletes during practices, activities, and competitions to determine needs for individual and team improvement.
- Participate in special activities including games, pep assemblies, banquets, and award nights.
- Assist in the process of cleaning, repairing, inventorying, storing, and replacing all equipment.
- Implement, communicate, manage, and enforce the BMS Athletic Agreement and Sport/Coaches Agreement for every student-athlete.
- Follow established procedures in the event of injury.
- Develop and maintain open lines of communication by conducting parent meetings and holding conferences.
- Implement policies established by federal and state law, CDE regulations, local board policy, and league guidelines.
- Model and utilize nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
