Job DescriptionPosition Purpose Under the general Supervision of the Transportation Director, the Bus Driver has the primary responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the children during bus transportation during daily transportation of students who attend school off site, on field trips, and on athletic trips.
Essential Functions
- Perform beginning-shift vehicle inspections before departure
- Safely transport students to and from the scheduled destination.
- Report all mechanical issues to Transportation Director immediately
- Obey all traffic laws
- Maintain a clean and sanitary bus at all times
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Transportation Director.

Equipment
Operates Commercial School buses, along with activities buses and other non commercial school vehicles.
Travel Requirements
Travels to off site school facilities, field trip destinations, and surrounding district sporting venues.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Must be able to pass a DOT Physical as well as a drug test.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must possess a Class B CDL License.
- Physical ability to perform job duties.
- Pass a background check.
- Ability to follow directions from Supervisor.
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, students, school personnel and the general public.
- Demonstrate reliability in all work situations.
- Present a professional appearance personally and in the work area.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $23.85 Per Hour
