Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team in Erie. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our valued customers.

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages and goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload packages with care, ensuring proper handling of all items.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
• Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures upon package delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Participate in regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Previous delivery experience preferred, but not required.
• Physical ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for weekend and evening shifts as needed.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.

Deliver product by car and then to the door of the customer.

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

• Carrying:
  During delivery, carry pizzas and beverages while performing "walking" and "climbing" duties.
• Driving:
  Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
• Walking:
  Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
• Climbing:
  Navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery of product.
