OUR DISTRICT: Clear Creek School District (CCSD) is located in Clear Creek County, Colorado, a short drive west of Denver and area suburbs. Clear Creek serves the mountain communities of Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Empire, Dumont, Silver Plume, and parts of Evergreen. Our county is well‑suited for outdoor adventure. Our historic downtowns offer some of the best places to explore and discover.

PRE‑EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT: The successful candidate will be required to complete fingerprinting through an approved fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation within 48 hours of offer acceptance. State law requires drivers to pass a Department of Transportation physical. Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and periodic random drug tests.
Will train a qualified and motivated individual.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the transportation of students to and from schools, and in various District activities. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive safely and efficiently on a prescribed route.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; ensure that all equipment, instruments, and safety devices operate properly.
- Maintain proper student control at all times.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations prescribed by the State of Colorado as they pertain to pupil transportation, as well as the policies and regulations of the school district.
- Be on time and not change stops or times without authorization from the Director of Transportation.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Keep accurate records and submit reports in a timely fashion.
- Perform other duties as requested.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Less than one (1) year job‑related experience. Must be twenty‑one (21) years of age.

QUALIFICATIONS:
None.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver's License, first aid and CPR certified. Motor vehicle report – must have an excellent driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last 12 months; no more than three in the last 3 years). Must pass a small vehicle test.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing these job duties, the employee may be exposed to dust and dirt, fumes and odors, noise, temperature extremes, and/or potentially hazardous situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit with frequent reaching. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
