Job Overview
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is recruiting Dialysis Technicians who assist physicians and licensed nurses in patient care for dialysis treatments. Incumbents initiate and discontinue dialysis treatments, prepare patients for hemodialysis, perform routine data collection, clean and maintain dialysis machines, and report findings to licensed staff.
Responsibilities- Direct patient care and assists physicians and nurses with procedures.
- Prepares dialysis machine system, dismantles setup, cleans and disinfects machine and water system.
- Prepares patients for hemodialysis, performs data collection, reports findings, observes and reports unusual conditions to licensed nurse, initiates and discontinues treatments.
- Inspects access site, reports status, performs cannulation of peripheral access sites to initiate dialysis.
- Observes patient before, during, and after procedure; ensures safety and advises nurse of changes.
- Obtains blood specimens and administers medications per physician orders and guidelines.
- Operates dialysis machine during treatments as directed by physician orders, adjusts settings during treatment.
- Maintains required documentation and treatment records.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and valid Hemodialysis Technician certification from a state or national program (e.g., CCHT).
- Shift Availability: Must indicate shift availability for a 24‑hour facility; shift differentials provided.
- Pre‑Employment Process: Background investigation, physical, verification of employment history and education required.
- Sponsorship: Candidates requiring visa sponsorship not considered.

Languages:
Candidates fluent in ASL, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish or Vietnamese encouraged; additional compensation available. Testing may be required.
