About Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California, 50 miles east of Los Angeles, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state‑of‑the‑art, public/non‑profit, 456‑bed, university‑affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, Level I trauma center and a freestanding inpatient behavioral health center.

ARMC operates five community‑based primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services, and is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacent California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

Job Overview

ARMC is recruiting experienced Registered Nurses for the Primary Care Clinics and Specialty Clinics to perform professional nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients. The position will formulate nursing diagnoses and nursing interventions based on each patient’s unique needs; acquire and maintain current knowledge in nursing practice; and utilize the information system to coordinate and facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

This recruitment may be used to fill Per Diem vacancies. The Primary Care Clinics include four off‑campus Family Health Centers (FHCs) located in Rialto, San Bernardino, Fontana and Redlands. The Internal Medicine Primary Clinic is located on campus in the Medical Office Building. The Specialty Clinics are located on campus and include 16 clinics with over 40 sub‑specialties.

Responsibilities
  • Formulate nursing diagnoses and nursing interventions based on each patient’s unique needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge in nursing practice.
  • Utilize the information system to coordinate and facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Perform professional nursing duties in the care and treatment of patients.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least one (1) year of full‑time equivalent experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Additional certification(s) may be required depending on area of assignment and must be maintained throughout employment.
Conditions of Employment
  • Applicants selected must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.
  • Work environment may involve lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance and carrying up to 50 pounds; exposure to assaultive and combative patients possible.
  • Shift availability: must be available for all shifts, weekends and holidays; shift differentials are provided.
