Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) seeks experienced Per Diem Critical Care Registered Nurses to serve in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role provides direct patient care throughout all phases of care in the procedural area and plans, evaluates, and implements patient care in line with accepted standards of practice.

Hospital Overview: ARMC is a state‑of‑the‑art, public/non‑profit 456‑bed university‑affiliated teaching hospital located on a 70‑acre campus in Colton, California. It is licensed by the California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital includes a regional burn center, comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center, freestanding behavioral health center, and operates community‑based primary care clinics and specialty outpatient services.

ARMC serves as the primary teaching hospital for California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

Conditions of Employment

Pre‑Employment Process: selected candidates must pass a background investigation, drug test, and verification of employment history and education.

Per Diem: not a regular position; there is no expectation of continued employment or guaranteed hours. Per Diem nurses may apply for regular positions.

Availability: 24‑hour responsibility; on‑call, call‑back, rotating, weekend, and holiday coverage may be required.

Certifications:

additional certifications may be required depending on departmental needs.

Sponsorship: ARMC does not consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship.

Minimum Requirements
  • Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing; license must be current.
  • A minimum of one year of full‑time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.
  • Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Unit‑specific certifications/courses:
    Neonatal Intensive Care Course (16‑30 hour course) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation (NPR).
Desired Qualifications

Candidates possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are desired.
