Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) – Clinical Nurse Specialist

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist who, under direction, assists in maintaining the clinical development and competency of the nursing staff in a specialized unit or program, utilizes the nursing process in professional practice, education, and research, and provides training and consultation in complex facets of advanced practice nursing care. The role performs related duties as required.

• Assist in maintaining the clinical development and competency of the nursing staff in a specialized unit or program.

• Utilize the nursing process in professional practice, education, and research.

• Provide training and consultation in complex facets of advanced practice nursing care.

• Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital, including one (1) year in a cardiac, medical, or surgical intensive care unit.
• Five (5) years of experience in a critical care unit is ideal.
• Certification in Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) and Clinical Nurse Specialist.
• Experience developing, evaluating, and implementing nurse orientations and staff development programs.
• Experience in research, data collection, and application of new technologies in procedures, protocols, and standards of care is highly desirable.
