Overview
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist, who under direction assists in maintaining the clinical development and competency of the nursing staff in a specialized unit or program, utilizes the nursing process in professional practice, education, and research, and provides training and consultation in complex facets of advanced practice nursing care; performs related duties as required.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will possess five years of experience in a critical care unit in addition to experience developing, evaluating, and implementing nurse orientations and staff development programs. Experience in research, statistical data collection, utilization of recent innovations, applying new technologies in the development of procedures, protocols, and standards of care is highly desirable.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- Three (3) years of experience as an RN in an acute care hospital, including one (1) year in a cardiac, medical, or surgical intensive care unit.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist certification.
Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job‑related physical exam and drug screening.
