Salary Range: $37.00 To $42.00 Hourly

Colton Truck Terminal Garage is seeking a skilled, motivated, and leadership-minded Shop Foreman to oversee our shop floor operations. In this role, you will lead a team of 5 mechanics while maintaining hands‑on involvement in advanced diagnostics and repairs.

Success in this position relies heavily on collaboration. You will work hand in hand with our other shop foreman to coordinate scheduling, balance the workload, and maintain constant communication. This is a joint leadership effort designed to maximize shop efficiency, keep all mechanics working productively, and keep all areas of the shop moving forward.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift Only
• Compensation:$37 - $42 per hour (or adjusted commensurate with foreman-level experience)

• Joint Shop Coordination: Partner closely with the co-shop foreman to manage scheduling, distribute work orders, and maintain constant daily communication to ensure a seamless, productive shop floor.
• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and manage a team of 5 diesel mechanics to ensure efficiency, safety, and high-quality workmanship.
• Technical Oversight: Lead complex repair jobs, specifically focused on engine overhauls, advanced electrical diagnostics, and general chassis work.

  Utilize computer systems to build, review, and submit detailed repair quotes to customers for authorization.
• Customer Communication: Explain diagnostics, timelines, and repair requirements to customers clearly and professionally.
• Workflow Management: Assign daily repair orders, optimize shop throughput, and ensure compliance with DOT, BIT, and safety standards.

• Collaborative Mindset: Exceptional teamwork skills and the ability to share leadership responsibilities, solve logistical problems jointly, and communicate seamlessly with a peer foreman.
• Experience: Proven experience as a senior diesel technician with strong expertise in engine overhauls and electrical troubleshooting

• Computer Literacy: Proficient with shop management software/computers to construct and process customer quotes.
• Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with RV chassis service is highly recommended but not required. Experience/certification with Cummins diesel engines is a plus.
• Requirements: CDL Class A license preferred; must possess a comprehensive set of personal tools.
