E.O. MRES Long Term Sub - Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher

* Valid IN elementary teaching license

* Strong instructional pedagogy and classroom management

* Positive collaborator and learner

* Previous experience with Montessori environment preferred

This long term substitute position includes three separate long term assignments ranging from early March through late May/early June. The long term substitute teacher will guide a mixed-age 1st-3rd grade classroom of approximately 22 students, leading the classroom instruction while maintaining the Montessori-prepared environment. A classroom assistant will be assigned to this environment; the long long term substitute will be responsible for:

* Leading the classroom instruction and daily learning activities

* Maintaining a prepared Montessori environment

* Providing direction, feedback and support to the classroom assistant

* Collaborating closely with school leadership and colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction and care

You will help maintain a classroom culture grounded in respect, responsibility and joy in learning while ensuring the daily routines, academic expectations and community norms of our school are upheld.
