Due to the nature of the programs we support, certain roles may require candidates to meet U.S. nationality requirements and be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Supports the timely delivery of mechanical engineering work packages within cost and quality requirements for assigned project(s). Conducts prototype testing to evaluate performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems and collects and analyzes data for improvements. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

• Identify appropriate materials and process to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
• Create, interpret, review and maintain engineering documentation (Prints, Specifications, etc.)
• Evaluate design and manufacturing processes through analysis and test
• Perform root cause and corrective action analysis on returned hardware
• Support supplier quality and manufacturing with DfM and troubleshooting
• Foster technical collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines and across business functions
• Write reports and present technical content at peer and design reviews.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
• 4+ Years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques including injection moulding, die casting, machining, welding, etc.
• Understanding of drafting principles and standards, including GD&T
• Experience with manufacturing documentation including PFMEA and Work Instructions
• Strong technical writing and communication to various stakeholders; ability to write engineering reports and deliverables
• Proficiency with basic test and metrology equipment for engineering assessments
• Experience in design, manufacture, and assembly of products
• Proficiency in 3D modelling software (Solidworks, Inventor, Creo, etc.)
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.
• Able and willing to travel for test, supplier meetings, and customer meetings (up to 10%)

Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 3+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship. May be required to maintain security clearance.
