Position Summary

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through accurate receipts, inspection, inventory stocking, and inventory support of materials. Employees in this position may be assigned to one or both functional areas based on operational requirements. This role helps ensure the efficient flow of materials from receipt through storage and distribution while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production requirements.

Functional Area 1 – Receiving & Inspection

Employees assigned to Receiving & Inspection are responsible for ensuring inbound materials are accurately unloaded, inspected, documented, and received into the company's ERP system.

Responsibilities include:

• Unload daily inbound ground and freight shipments in a safe and timely manner.
• Review vendor shipping documentation and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Perform quantity verification through hand counts or weight counts.
• Conduct visual inspections to verify part quality and conformity.
• Accurately label materials and complete receiving transactions within the company's ERP system.
• Identify, document, and communicate receiving discrepancies in accordance with company procedures.
• Build skids of material destined for outsource, create purchase orders and communicate with vendors over delivery, receipt and quality of materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe receiving area.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Has solid math skills and can read a tape measurer.
• Experience with using a computer and Windows software applications along with accurately counting product and data entry.
• Can read, speak, and write in English.
• Have or be willing to obtain a forklift license within 30 days of hire.
• Able to stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, and lift 40 lbs. on a continuous basis for a 10-hour workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of experience with receiving products in a production or manufacturing environment or similar experience in another industry (food service, retail, etc.)
