Leader in Production. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and technical capabilities and the ability to grow and develop as a future leader. This position will help to develop leadership, focus safety and work toward operational excellence; also, a successful candidate will help drive quality and production goals, coordinate and maintain operational schedules and support the business to ensure continuous process improvement.

Functional Area

Leader provides direct leadership to a team of hourly team members. This role will report to the Operation Manager.

• The functional area leader has ownership of the people, processes, equipment and results of a specific functional area including continuous improvement.
• Provide daily leadership and oversight of functional area team members on all crews.
• Role model all standards/processes by living our core values of safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability and inclusion.
• Improve and maintain functional area performance according to set objectives and established goals for safety, quality, process reliability, cost control and people development.
• Scheduling and attending regular production/safety meetings and facilitating proactive problem-solving.
• Actively be involved in assigning work and evaluating job performance.
• Support cross training initiatives to increase talent depth.
• Support, coach and provide timely feedback and direction to team members.
• Meet production standards and goals.
• Efficiently manage downtime events.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management or other related field preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
