This position performs a variety of clerical duties requiring responsible judgement based on knowledge of the principles of accounting. Decisions are made in terms of established policies and procedures; with difficult, non‑routine, or complex problems being referred to a supervisor. Instructions may be received as new projects are assigned, but the employee will generally work with considerable independence, using discretion and judgment in completing duties.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Assistant Finance Director and is evaluated for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of a two‑year degree in accounting.
- Two years responsible accounting experience.
- One year training or experience in email, spreadsheet, and accounting software programs.
