Overview
Job Title:
Senior Tax Accountant
Location:
Sparrows Point, Maryland
Salary: $80,000-$115,000
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, monthly closings, and financial reporting using Yardi Voyager, Excel/SQL, and Oracle Net Suite, with a focus on marine operations.
- Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership on data analysis for profitability, budget preparation, financial statements, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Act as primary liaison with external auditors, tax accountants, and insurance agencies, and continuously seek process improvements and electronic efficiencies in accounting.
- 4+ years of experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of Excel/SQL, project accounting, and revenue recognition rules.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on integrity and teamwork.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or Oracle Net Suite accounting systems.
- Background in commercial real estate accounting.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing company environment.
