We’re partnering with a publicly traded, highly respected real estate development and investment firm with a strong national footprint and a reputation for delivering complex, mission‑critical projects.
This role sits at the corporate headquarters and supports a portfolio of active development projects
—making it ideal for someone with a construction accounting background who wants exposure to high‑impact, large‑scale developments.
- Manage cost accounting and financial reporting across multiple development projects
- Maintain complete job cost ledgers and historical project records
- Perform percentage‑of‑completion (POC) revenue accounting and reporting
- Prepare and review labor allocations, journal entries, and monthly close activities
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Support depreciation reviews and other month‑end processes
- Partner cross‑functionally with development, project management, and finance teams
- Background in construction accounting or development accounting (highly preferred)
- Experience with job cost accounting, WIP/POC revenue recognition
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with real estate development or large‑scale construction projects
- Work for a stable, growth‑oriented public company with a strong project pipeline
- Exposure to large, complex development projects
