Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert providing professional accounting services regarding accounting functions and the application of accounting principles, policies, and procedures.
- Determine corrective action to resolve complex operational problems; review, analyze, and evaluate source documents and identify discrepancies.
- Review complex financial reports to ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial operations.
- Serve as point of contact for the Group or Division, translating accounting/audit language for management and operating officials.
- Monitor complex accounting operations for compliance with internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
Qualifications
Education required:
Degree in accounting or related field with 24 semester hours in accounting, OR equivalent combination of education and experience, OR CPA/CIA certification.
Required Skills
- Experience performing analysis on accounting transactions to adhere to accounting policies (Medicaid, CHIP, state/local healthcare programs).
- Background developing audit approaches to evaluate financial data and accounting systems.
- Experience interpreting or implementing regulations, guidelines, and policies to communicate financial management policies to stakeholders.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: $108,173 - $158,322/year (varies by location).
