LHH has partnered with an established global organization that is seeking a Tax Manager to join its corporate tax team and play a key role in overseeing worldwide income tax compliance and reporting activities. This position offers broad exposure to domestic and international tax matters and will serve as a central liaison between internal stakeholders, external advisors, and finance leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical tax knowledge with project management skills and enjoys driving complex processes across multiple jurisdictions. This role offers the opportunity to influence tax operations, improve processes, and contribute to strategic tax initiatives within a growing global environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate global income tax compliance activities across U.S. federal, state, and international jurisdictions, ensuring timely completion of filings and related requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and service providers, serving as the primary point of contact for information requests, deliverables, and issue resolution.
  • Review income tax returns, supporting schedules, and work papers prepared by outside firms, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to filing.
  • Oversee quarterly estimated tax calculations and payment obligations across multiple tax jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and review tax-related account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Partner with finance leadership and external advisors in support of annual and quarterly tax reporting activities, including income tax provision analysis and financial statement disclosures.
  • Lead multiple tax projects simultaneously, establishing priorities, managing deadlines, and coordinating resources to ensure successful execution.
  • Mentor and develop junior tax professionals while providing technical guidance and review support.
  • Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities both domestically and internationally.
  • Monitor tax law developments and assess potential impacts on compliance, reporting, and business operations.
  • Participate in tax planning initiatives, business transactions, and special projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance the effectiveness of tax systems and reporting tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate income tax, public accounting, or a combination of both.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. income tax compliance and tax reporting concepts.
  • Experience supporting or reviewing ASC 740 income tax provision calculations and related financial reporting disclosures.
  • Familiarity with international tax reporting requirements and multinational business structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to completion.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large volumes of financial data.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively across finance, accounting, and business teams.
