GEICO is looking for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant I that excels in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, demonstrates good judgment, communicates effectively, and manages a heavy workload with a high degree of professionalism.
Job Responsibilities- Provide day‑to‑day executive support to the Head of Pricing and the VP of State Product Management.
- Support the entire Pricing and State Management leadership team.
- Field inquiries and determine priority, handling confidential information with care.
- Coordinate complex domestic travel, including flight, train, hotel, and related transportation logistics.
- Lead coordination and logistics for internal and external meetings, off‑site conferences, and external events, including catering and transportation.
- Provide off‑hours support for key events as needed.
- Handle regular activities without prompting and provide timely notice of issues or delays.
- Assist in editing spreadsheets, presentations, and documents.
- Initiate improvements and consistently drive optimal service.
- Work closely with other internal cross‑functional teams on ad‑hoc projects and initiatives, and lead ad‑hoc projects as requested.
- Cooperate with other administrative assistants to back each other up and assist with shared office management responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience in a business, operations management, strategic project management, or related role.
- Strong collaborative, analytical, and detail‑oriented skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism.
- High personal integrity with the capacity to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel and MS Office application skills, including the ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations and Excel analyses.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of departments and personalities, developing positive working relationships internally and with external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced and ambiguous environment, adjusting priorities and decisions to respond to multiple demands and unexpected events.
- Successfully drives operational efficiency by identifying and implementing improvements that support executive leadership.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business) preferred.
- 5–7+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant/Senior Administrative Assistant or equivalent.
- Experience at a professional services firm (legal, insurance, financial services) a plus but not required.
Location:
Bethesda, MD or Cleveland, OH.
Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Annual Salary Range: $25.44 – $45.28 per hour (annual equivalent). The range is a guideline; the final offer will consider experience, education, responsibilities, location, and market factors.
