This role is essential in underpinning IPC governance, operational delivery, and organisational compliance, enabling the clinical IPC team to focus on patient safety and infection prevention priorities.
The role also supports workforce and operational functions, including monitoring staff records, managing procurement and stock, and liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the post holder contributes to the development and improvement of administrative systems and processes to enhance efficiency and support the delivery of IPC objectives.
The post holder is responsible for coordinating all administrative functions within IPC, ensuring that key processes such as meeting management, documentation, data reporting, and communication are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. This includes organising and minuting a wide range of internal and external meetings, tracking actions, and supporting service development and implementation of new procedures.

The IPC Personal Assistant/Senior Administrator provides comprehensive administrative, organisational, and coordination support to the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team. The role is central to ensuring the smooth running of IPC services, supporting governance, communication, and operational delivery.
Overall, the role underpins IPC governance and service effectiveness, enabling the clinical team to focus on reducing infection risks and maintaining patient safety across the organisation
Provide high-level administrative and secretarial supportto the IPC team, including typing reports, correspondence, and maintaining confidential records.
Coordinate and minute a wide range of meetings(team, operational, and multi-agency), including tracking actions and supporting service development.
Act as a central coordination pointfor IPC, liaising with clinical teams, estates, facilities, and other stakeholders across the Trust.
Support operational functions, including workforce records, procurement, and stock management, ensuring smooth day-to-day service delivery.
