Financial Analyst
We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Technical Operations Analyst based out of our North American headquarters in Columbia, Maryland. If you are proactive, able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and cross functional teams, then this could be the job for you. This position is a hybrid role but does require being onsite when necessary and candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the office.
YourTasks
- Provide business support and direction to operations management team on financial topics
- Collaborate with business teams to ensure accurate inventory, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Lead the preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly year end estimates including cost center and accounts, inventory and labor rates (total costs and efficiency) using a detailed cost analysis approach
- Develop and maintain reporting by product line and profit center, including allocations and variance reports for management
- Direct and monitor physical inventory counts in conjunction with corporate accounting to include cycle counts, and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and internal policies, maintaining accurate documentation for audits
- Support cross-functional teams in financial budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc reporting as needed
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during annual audits
- Complete monthly business P&L for executive and local management distribution
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university
- 5+ years of accounting and business finance experience, seamlessly integrating with business functions
- Expert proficiency in SAP FI/CO (CS is a plus) modules, prior experience with SAP S/4
HANA is a plus - High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and their integration with sales processes
- CPA/candidate, or related certification is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles is essential
- External candidates must be US residents with valid work authorization

The total compensation for this position is $80k-105k. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
