Join the Clinical Center as Operations Manager of the DPM and help advance groundbreaking clinical research! The ideal candidate has experience supporting the operational management of a perioperative environment, overseeing perioperative equipment life cycles and is familiar with operating room (OR) software systems and OR integration platform technology. In this role, you will advise on strategic direction and lead key initiatives and projects to facilitate the missions of the DPM.
Inorder to qualify for a Program Specialist (Operations Manager) at the GS-11 grade level, you must have:
B. 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks:
1) Supporting program management activities involving patient safety and customer service;
2) Supporting the development of procurement packages for specialty medical equipment and supplies;
3) Supporting the lifecycle management of specialty medical equipment and technologies;
4) Participating in administrative operational activities by preparing reports and analyses;
5) Coordinating with physicians and other medical staff to support operating room workflow.
C. a combination of post baccalaureate education related to the position and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
1) Performing program management of perioperative operations to meet strategic operational objectives;
2) Overseeing the development of procurement packages for operating room equipment and supplies;
3) Managing operating room technologies, including maintenance, updates, interoperability, and user support;
4) Evaluating and providing recommendations for patient safety compliance and service quality;
5) Collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders to enhance outcomes for clinical research activities.
1) Leading the strategic management of perioperative operations that affect patient care and clinical research (i.e., organizational priorities, policies, operational standards, performance expectations, and improvement initiatives);
2) Overseeing the lifecyle process of acquisitions involving operating room technologies;
3) Serving as the technical authority for advanced operating room systems and equipment (i.e., endoscopy systems, Provation or comparable clinical software, surgical robotics, computerized microscopes, electrosurgical equipment, operating room tables, and OR integration systems (e.g., Stream Connect or POIS));
4) Providing senior-level oversight of perioperative operations. (i.e., resource utilization, organizational performance, workforce readiness, patient safety, service quality, and appropriate lifecycle management of clinical equipment and technology);
5) Negotiating with and disseminating information to multidisciplinary stakeholders to enhance outcomes for perioperative research activities.
