Bi-Lingual Safety Technician

Our client, a well-established construction services company, is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to join its safety team. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Safety and plays an important hands-on role in promoting a strong safety culture across active jobsites and company facilities.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish
, have construction safety experience, and be comfortable spending significant time in the field working directly with employees, foremen, and operations leadership.

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of the company's safety program across active construction projects.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, and Estimating teams to ensure jobsite safety requirements are properly addressed.
• Prepare, review, and maintain project-specific safety documentation, including Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and Fall Protection Plans
  .
• Conduct and document approximately 3–5 jobsite and facility safety audits per day
  .
• Identify safety concerns and follow up with field and operations teams to ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Assist the Vice President of Safety and Operations team with maintaining and updating the company's monthly Incident Log
  .
• Conduct and document accident and incident investigations
  .
• Escort field employees to occupational health clinics when necessary.
• Assist with potential workers' compensation and safety-related claims in coordination with Safety and Risk Management leadership.
• Participate in safety training and meetings for Foremen, Field Managers, Builders, Laborers, and other field personnel
  .
• Attend safety seminars, industry events, training sessions, and awards programs as needed.
• Maintain required professional certifications and participate in continuing education.
• Serve as a visible safety resource in the field, helping employees understand and consistently follow company safety policies and procedures.

• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required
  , including strong verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Minimum of 1 year of construction safety experience

• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  .
• Working knowledge of construction-site safety practices, regulations, and procedures.
• Ability to conduct jobsite inspections, identify hazards, document findings, and communicate corrective actions.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, jobsites, and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable researching issues and communicating directly with field personnel, Operations, Sales, and other departments to gather necessary information.
• Proficiency with computers, smartphones, and tablets for safety audits, reports, email, and other job-related technology.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Willingness to learn and participate in Incident Investigation and Reasonable Suspicion procedures.
• Ability to obtain the necessary security clearance for access to secure facilities.
• Flexibility to occasionally work nights and weekends based on project and safety requirements.

• Graduated Safety Professional (GSP) designation.
• CHST, STSC, and/or OSHA 500 certification.
• Previous experience within the scaffolding, access, or related construction industry

• Experience developing or reviewing AHAs and Fall Protection Plans
  .
• Experience conducting accident/incident investigations.
• Experience working across multiple active construction jobsites.
