We are looking for an enthusiastic instructor for our Little Wing (ages 4‑5) and Rookies (ages 6‑7) classes. Instructors will help create a warm, supportive, and inspiring environment for young musicians aged 4‑7, encouraging them to reach developmental milestones through fun musical activities and playing rock and roll musical instruments.
We teach five core areas: keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. Many of our instructors have broad musical talent and we engage students accordingly.
Responsibilities- Maximize the quality of music instruction, including private lessons and shows.
- Ensure students learn music fundamentals, not just songs.
- Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress after lessons.
- Interact with parents and students regularly, be visible and accessible in the school.
- Pitch in during canceled lessons to support overall program execution.
- Assist in rehearsals and basic school maintenance.
- Assist in recruiting and enrolling students.
- 4+ years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
- Passion for and/or experience working with children under the age of seven.
- Classroom/early childhood education experience preferred.
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design; concepts in music such as rhythm, notation, pop and rock genres.
- Excellent ability to deal with a wide range of customers, including children and parents.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong customer relations skills on the phone and in person.
- Resourceful and good problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficient on at least one instrument: guitar, keyboard/piano, drums, or voice.
- Good judgment.
- Part‑time; some weekend or day availability required.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 3‑9 pm and Saturday 10 am‑4 pm. Up to 24 hours per week.
