Position Overview
The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) offers part‑time instructor positions for the Early College Admissions Program (ECAP) in the Philosophy Department. ECAP is a public school magnet program that allows students to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree or up to 60 credits toward a bachelor’s degree. Courses are taught in high‑school classrooms and/or at CCBC campuses.
College credits are tuition free.
Adjunct Level 1 – $1,085 per credit hour. Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours per year, typically no more than 11 credits per semester.
Scheduling and HoursInstruction is scheduled according to high‑school hours. Faculty must be available during specified weekdays, may rotate within a week, and must be able to manage the schedule. A brief orientation may be required before classes commence.

- Ethics
- Critical Thinking
- Introduction to World Religions
- Master’s degree in Philosophy or in a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in Philosophy
- Experience working with diverse and non‑traditional student populations
- Experience with classroom technology and learning management systems (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Two (2) years of high school or college teaching experience
