The Role
As a Lead BIM Modeler, you will operate within Tate’s global design engineering team and play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, capability building, and consistency in BIM delivery across regions. In addition to hands‑on BIM coordination, this role has formal responsibility to lead, mentor, train, and develop junior and mid‑level BIM modelers, ensuring high‑quality outputs and long‑term skills growth.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, you will support the execution of ambitious global growth plans while helping shape scalable BIM standards and best practices that reinforce Tate’s leadership in the data center and critical infrastructure markets. This is a key leadership position for someone eager to influence people, processes, and technical outcomes as Tate continues to expand manufacturing capability across all regions.
You’ll Do Technical & Project Leadership
- Lead the creation, coordination, and quality assurance of BIM models and CAD drawings for global data centre projects.
- Oversee and perform clash detection, prepare clash reports, and guide resolution strategies across disciplines.
- Produce and review detailed product and submittal drawings, cutting lists, and associated technical documentation.
- Act as the primary BIM technical authority on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with engineering, constructability, and client requirements.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and support the professional development of less‑experienced BIM modelers.
- Provide structured onboarding, training, and ongoing technical guidance to improve capability, confidence, and consistency.
- Conduct regular model reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across regional and global teams.
- Support and help drive the global engineering and BIM strategy for Tate products aligned with market positioning and client needs.
- Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of standardized BIM workflows, templates, families, and naming conventions across all regions.
