Element has opportunities for EMC/RF Test Engineers to support regulatory compliance testing of wireless and electronic devices. These roles require proficiency in various core business and technical skills, including but not limited to, compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies / procedures. This role involves hands‑on RF and EMC testing, execution of standardized test procedures, data analysis, and support of FCC and international certification programs across a wide range of technologies and industries.

$30 - $55 /hour (non-exempt)
Varied Work Shifts7am - 4pm ET
Key Responsibilities- Perform EMC and RF compliance testing in accordance with applicable regulatory and standards requirements
- Operate spectrum analyzers and related RF test equipment for radiated and conducted emissions and transmitter measurements
- Execute testing to unlicensed transmitter rules (e.g. FCC Parts 15B, 15C, and 15E) and licensed transmitter rules (e.g. FCC Parts 22, 24, 27, 30, 90, and 96)
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot test setups in anechoic chambers, shielded enclosures, and open‑area test sites as applicable
- Collect, analyze, and document test data; support the preparation and review of regulatory compliance test reports
- Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and customers to resolve technical and compliance‑related issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 2–3+ years of hands‑on experience using spectrum analyzers in an EMC or RF test environment
- Working knowledge of FCC, ISED Canada, and EU regulatory requirements including
- Solid understanding of RF fundamentals such as bandwidth, duty cycle, EIRP, spurious emissions, and measurement uncertainty
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized test methods and procedures
- Familiarity with CE Marking requirements, including EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) radio testing and EMC immunity requirements
- Experience with applicable European standards such as EN 301 xxx, EN 55032 / EN 55035, and EN 61000-4-x immunity test methods (e.g., ESD, radiated immunity, EFT, surge)
- Prior experience working in an accredited EMC/RF compliance test laboratory.
- Exposure to wireless technologies such as Wi‑Fi 6E/7, LTE, 5G, CBRS, or IoT devices
- Programming experience (e.g. Python) highly regarded
