Aerospace Engineer

Job Title

Support engineering activities related to aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and simulation of rotorcraft, including:

• Analysis and assessment of stability and control, and flying qualities.
• Development of plans to collect information and data related to flying qualities and flight dynamics for offline simulations, real-time piloted simulations and flight test activities.
• Review of plans and results of wind tunnel, simulation and flight test development and demonstration programs, as well as the engineering data submittal requirements to support acquisition milestones.
• Proposing and evaluating flight dynamics studies and assessments, monitoring program progress and evaluating risk associated with schedule delays, specification compliance issues, and performance or technical anomalies.
• Demonstrating knowledge and good understanding of related air vehicle engineering fields such as flight controls, performance and aerodynamics, modeling and simulation, and flight testing.
• Responsibility for rotorcraft safety of flight matters for flight dynamics and related aerodynamics, including stability and control, where applicable.
• Ensuring minimum safety standards are satisfied prior to providing flight clearance authorization for your responsible aircraft platforms.
