This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an Engineer II for our Columbia, MD office. Be involved in projects with our Program Management Team with Anne Arundel County and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your ImpactJob Responsibilities
- Manage design consultants and construction contractor's projects for water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water/wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
- Coordinate Project designers and construction managers' activities.
- Manage capital improvement projects including project schedule, budget, and deliverables.
- Permit coordination.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of project/construction management experience on water treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facility projects
- Strong oral and written skills
- Familiarity with the practices and principles of Design and Construction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities systems, construction processes, and project lifecycle management.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate both countywide programs and specific projects.
- Data and information systems management experience
- Experience in a web-based document management system such as e-Builder, Unifier and CM-14
- Ability to support scheduling for a program of multiple projects, including monitoring costs.
- EIT with desire to achieve PE.
- Ability to lead and conduct large meetings and work in a client setting
