Pay Range: $100,000–$120,000 US, eligible for discretionary bonus

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. This role focuses on the structural design and verification of connection details, frame profiles, and overall structural hot aisle configurations within data center applications. The successful candidate will apply advanced structural engineering knowledge to deliver safe, efficient, and code‑compliant solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support high‑performance infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Design and verify structural components, including frame profiles and connection details, for data center infrastructure.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, engineering drawings, and documentation supporting structural analysis and design decisions.
  • Perform structural analysis and simulate seismic loading using ANSYS, RISA, and IDEA Stati Ca.
  • Conduct load and stress calculations in accordance with applicable building codes and standards.
  • Select construction materials based on structural requirements, durability, and compliance needs.
  • Provide clear technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for planning and building regulation compliance.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams to support successful project execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Valid Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or equivalent certification.
  • Proven construction industry experience with an emphasis on structural engineering.
  • Proficiency with ANSYS, RISA, and IDEA Stati Ca.
  • Strong understanding of seismic design and simulation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to create calculation reports, construction documentation, and technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to deliver results in complex environments.
