Coordinate the processing, review, and implementation of engineering changes, revisions, waivers, deviations, and product updates through established procedures.
Maintain configuration records and ensure accuracy of product structure information throughout the lifecycle of assigned programs.
Support change control activities by preparing complete documentation packages and facilitating approvals through formal review processes.
Generate reports and metrics to track configuration status, document revisions, and program-level change activity.
Assist with planning and execution of configuration audits and product baseline reviews to verify compliance and data integrity.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and program teams to maintain data consistency and configuration integrity across all systems.
Review technical documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
Administer product configuration data within applicable enterprise systems and configuration management tools, including PLM and PDM platforms.
Support design reviews, production readiness reviews, and other technical gate activities that require accurate configuration data and traceability.
Create, update, and maintain product relationships, bill-of-material (BOM) structures, and associated traceability records.
Research technical information, including components, materials, specifications, and industry standards, to support configuration decisions.
Provide guidance to stakeholders on document control, revision management, and engineering change procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, compliance, and configuration control processes, and contribute to implementing enhancements.
Remain current on industry best practices, standards, and technologies related to product lifecycle and configuration management.
Contribute to special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned, supporting broader configuration management objectives.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting configuration management, document control, product lifecycle management (PLM), engineering change management, or a related technical discipline.
Hands-on experience with PLM and PDM systems for managing product configuration and engineering data.
Proficiency working with bill-of-material (BOM) structures and maintaining accurate product relationships and traceability.
Experience processing and managing engineering change orders, revision notices, waivers, deviations, and configuration changes.
Ability to generate and interpret configuration status reports and metrics for program-level oversight.
Strong understanding of configuration control principles and practices in an engineering environment.
Ability to read, interpret, and review engineering drawings and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Experience using CAD software and managing CAD libraries in support of configuration management activities.
Solid knowledge of engineering data management, document control procedures, and revision management.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling complex product structures and technical records.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and program teams.
Ability to support audits, baseline reviews, and technical gate reviews with organized, accurate configuration data.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Consideration for equivalent combinations of education, professional training, and relevant work experience.
Familiarity with aerospace products and systems, especially in contexts such as surveillance and early warning defense programs.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to product lifecycle and configuration management.
Ability to identify and recommend improvements to configuration control processes and workflow efficiency.
