Test Engineer; Aerospace​/Defense

Our Client designs, manufactures, integrates, and supports lighter-than-air surveillance platforms, particularly tethered aerostats—large balloon-like platforms that remain anchored to the ground and carry sensors high above an area for DOD and military applications.

In this role, you will develop, maintain, and update test standards for new or enhanced products, as well as execute testing that demonstrates the quality of our division’s products. You will work on assignments that require creativity, technical expertise, and independent judgment while contributing meaningfully to engineering projects and technical approaches.

• Evaluate test requirements based on specifications, standard procedures, and internal/external requirements.
• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Execute and document tests.
• Identify and recommend test equipment, production equipment, fixturing, or tooling needed to meet product specifications.
• Prepare reports of testing data, evaluate results, and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Lead or contribute input for improvements.
• Train team members on utilization of test equipment and procedures.
• Keep abreast of new developments in engineering design, methods, and applications.
• Assist with the request-for-quote process as related to testing needs.
