Financial Analyst – Public Real-Estate Projects SUMMARY
The Concourse Group is looking for a candidate to support financial analysis of real estate related projects serving public sector clients. This position is a hybrid position, and candidates must live local to the National Capital or Baltimore, Maryland Regions as meetings at our corporate office in Columbia, MD are required.
This position requires strong communication skills, strong knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products, the ability to learn new skills quickly, and high standards for growth and work quality. While training on specific tasks will be provided, the ideal candidate will have a background in financial calculations and analysis, preferably in the real‑estate industry. This position also requires a high level of multi‑tasking, time management skills and decision‑making skills.

Conducts financial analysis for client's national housing portfolio, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial modelsAssist with ongoing analysis of operations and performance of the existing housing portfolio, including performance vs. pro-formaConstruct, manipulate, and continuously modify Excel-based models to calculate returns including IRR, NPV, and cash returnsSupport the transaction process in order to complete due diligence on targeted transactions, from acquisition to dispositionPrepare and review a variety of analysis regarding existing portfolio of properties, including but not limited to budgets, operating statements, appraisals, market surveys and studiesCreate public-private venture strategiesConduct analyses to address complex financial issues and determine financial deal viabilityAssist with planning and policy issuesWillingness to learn, demonstrate, and apply better methods of analyzing real estate transactionsProvides support consistent with all aspects of determining project feasibility. Assist with the design, implementation expansion and continuous improvement of portfolio managementAssist in preparing briefings, participate in meetings and provide technology support for databases, web solutions and benchmarking future decision makingREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor' s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related fieldMBA a plus but not requiredDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office productsExpert proficiency in Excel highly preferred1-2 years of in Financial Analysis experience preferredPREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Internships completed for a Government (State, Local or Federal) Project directly related to finance or public sector real estate.OTHER:
