The Agency Budget Specialist I prepares and monitors budgets for County, State, and other funding sources in partnership with program administration at the Cecil County Health Department in Elkton, Maryland. The role reviews expenses to ensure staff and other costs are fully funded and reports fiscal activities at the division and department level.
Key qualifications:- Five years of experience in budget preparation, presentation and execution (or equivalent substitutions with bachelor's degree, graduate coursework, or military service)
- Experience preparing annual budgets and budget projections
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other computer programs
- Ability to work independently or in teams as needed
