Salary: $34.69 Hourly
Position SummaryThis sworn professional position provides a full range of law enforcement services to Frederick County through community oriented and team management approaches. General supervision is provided through the chain of command; however, Deputies must frequently exercise independent judgment and administrative discretion.
Essential Functions- Rotating assignments may include vehicle patrol, investigations and testimony, traffic control, prisoner transport, emergency response, court security, search and seizure, civil process, training and guidance of junior officers, community awareness, etc.
- Minimum age 21 years
- U.S.A. citizenship
- High school graduation or the equivalent
- Current Law Enforcement certification by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) or a comparable certification from a State outside of Maryland
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain a Frederick County employee driving permit
- Additional related education or training
