Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and continuously evolve our company‑wide recruitment strategy. In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, ensuring alignment with both immediate hiring needs and long‑term workforce planning. You will lead the recruiting team, manage compliance with all federal contractor and employment regulations, oversee affirmative action planning, and serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.
This position requires both executive‑level thinking and hands‑on capability. You will be responsible for building scalable recruiting programs, strengthening employer branding, improving hiring efficiency, and ensuring the company consistently attracts high‑quality scientific, technical, and professional talent.
- Lead and manage the company's talent acquisition strategy, programs, and team.
- Design and optimize sourcing methodologies, including Boolean search strategies, social recruiting, and targeted outreach campaigns.
- Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines to reduce time‑to‑fill and improve quality‑of‑hire metrics.
- Partner with senior leadership and hiring managers to define workforce needs, job specifications, and interview strategies.
- Oversee executive‑level and critical‑role recruitment efforts directly when necessary.
- Provide structured interview training and hiring guidance to management teams.
- Ensure full compliance with employment laws, OFCCP regulations, affirmative action requirements, and federal contractor obligations.
- Oversee preparation, reporting, and audit response related to AAP and OFCCP programs.
- Manage background screening and pre‑employment testing programs.
- Supervise, coach, and develop recruiting personnel, including goal setting, performance management, training, and professional development.
- Manage recruiting budget, vendor relationships, and advertising investments to maximize return on investment.
- Lead and coordinate company internship initiatives, including internal programs and university partnerships.
- Travel approximately 40% to headquarters, regional offices, career fairs, trade conferences, and recruiting events nationwide.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline required; advanced education highly desirable.
- HR Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM‑SCP, or SHRM‑CP) strongly preferred.
