Position Summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for scientific, technical, and corporate positions across the organization. You will partner directly with hiring managers, build strategic talent pipelines, and ensure a professional and compliant hiring process from requisition through offer. As a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will directly impact workforce quality, hiring efficiency, and candidate experience.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisition approval through offer stage.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
  • Source candidates using job boards, resume databases, networking, referrals, and direct outreach strategies.
  • Screen resumes and conduct phone and virtual interviews to assess qualifications and cultural alignment.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, including travel arrangements when required.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in UKG and ensure compliance with OFCCP, EEO, and federal contractor requirements.
  • Extend offers and coordinate new hire documentation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Assist with reporting activities by tracking requisition status, pipeline metrics, and hiring activity.
  • Support employee referral initiatives and internship programs, including campus engagement efforts.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with agencies, universities, and industry contacts.
  • Travel approximately 35% to headquarters, regional offices, career fairs, conferences, and recruiting events.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive recruiting experience; experience in scientific, engineering, or technical recruiting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and recruitment compliance; OFCCP knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (UKG preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are highly preferred.
