The scope of this Contract requires specialized expertise in areas such as high-performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. The IT infrastructure consists of a mix of Linux, Windows, and UNIX. The environment includes a variety of network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and essential supporting infrastructure services. The services provided under this Contract support areas including HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software.
AT&T has an opening for a
Network Communications Engineer to support our end-user community by providing Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
- Provide Network Communication services to enhance and complement HPC sustainment capabilities at two sites and geographic locations.
- Provide Network IT Services including systems and network engineering planning, implementation and validation, technical documentation and training.
- Proficiency in network support requiring system-level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls.
- Experience with:
Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Cisco works, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, Fibre Channel (FC) SAN, VPN (IPSEC). - Physical installation and configuration and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers and security devices.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls and L3 access controls.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
- Able to support on-call requirements and to work in a live call environment using Remedy and/or other ticketing systems to track tasking.
- Experience with virtualization products (VMware and Solaris containers).
- Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph.
- DoD 8570 IAT II level certification required.
- Three years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection in addition to related degree or 5 years’ experience in lieu of degree. Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience including installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNs.
- Salary:
Our Network Engineer (NE I) (Government) earns between $79,300 - $184,800 yearly. Final amount may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training. - Location:
