Information System Security Officer Poly

Overview

Big Bear.ai is seeking a Information Systems Security Officer 2 (ISSO) to join our team on a brand-new contract! In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding information systems for a dynamic program and organization. You will help shape and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies to ensure secure and resilient computer operations.

• Drive the development and implementation of cutting‑edge information security strategies.
• Maintain a strong operational security posture to ensure compliance and protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to propose, coordinate, and enforce security policies and best practices.
• Manage the security aspects of complex information systems and perform hands‑on, day‑to‑day security operations.
• Develop and update the system security plan and other Cybersecurity documentation.
• Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI with Poly.
• Experience:
  • Eight (8) years of combined work‑related experience in the fields of IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization.
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Knowledge of current security tools.
    • Hardware/software security implementation.
    • Communication protocols.
    • Encryption tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or IT Engineering.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of work‑related experience may be substituted.

• Certifications: IAM Level I certification
