Senior Analyst

Overview

Senior Analyst:

Bowhead is seeking a highly experienced Senior Analyst to support an upcoming effort at NAWCAD in Patuxent River, MD. This role serves as a strategic leader responsible for guiding analytical approaches, shaping project direction, and delivering high-impact solutions in support of mission-critical objectives.

Responsibilities

* Lead the application of advanced analytical techniques to support program objectives and strategic decision-making

* Define project scope, objectives, and analytical methodologies in alignment with client mission needs

* Provide leadership and vision to client stakeholders and internal project teams regarding analytic approaches and execution

* Resolve complex, high-visibility problems requiring deep expertise in analytical methods, frameworks, and best practices

* Direct and oversee the work of junior analysts and support staff, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables

* Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership

* Support program management activities, including planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement

* Ensure all work products meet government standards, compliance requirements, and contractual obligations

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience and a Master's degree (MA/MS) OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 additional years of relevant experience

* Demonstrated expertise in applying analytical methodologies to solve complex problems

* Proven ability to lead teams and manage analytical efforts across multiple stakeholders

* Experience supporting high-visibility or mission-critical programs

* Strong communication skills with the ability to brief senior government and contractor leadership

* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting naval aviation, test & evaluation, or acquisition programs

* Familiarity with NAWCAD operations, processes, or systems

* Prior experience in a government consulting or defense contracting environment

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

* Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

* Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
