IT Field Support Specialist

One of Inc 5000's fastest growing companies, Davis Unlimited Information Technologies, Inc (DUIT) is seeking experienced Hardware Technicians with 4+ years of experience to provide Tier 2 and 3 on‑site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment across various locations in Maryland.

• Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
• Conduct site surveys, assess and document current site configuration and user requirements.
• Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Develop hardware installation schedules and prepare drawings documenting configuration changes.
• Prepare site installation and test reports and train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
• Build specialized interconnecting cables.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
• Install and configure computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment and associated cabling.
• Maintain government and/or vendor‑manufactured fiber optic modems, multiplexers, fiber optic/Ethernet cables, and telephone systems.
• Follow standard operating procedures for the Connectivity Operations Team, including the use of ticketing systems and documentation.
• Support network upgrade projects or initiatives and end‑user connectivity needs.

• High school/GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in hardware support and a Security+ certification.
• Alternatively, Associate’s degree in a technical field with 2 years experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Must be CWIP Compliant - CompTIA A+, Net+, or Security+.
• Active tier authorization to view nondisclosed information and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Security background check required; prior completion is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Availability to work an 8‑hour shift between 6 am and 6 pm as determined by management.

• Highly skilled in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.
• Well‑versed in installing Windows, software, applications, antivirus, and patches.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Proficient in working with end‑users remotely.
• Experience with Windows 7 and 10 and Active Directory security and policies.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
