You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (CUSTSPT) in the (N4) Global Infrastructure and Logistics Dept., Asset and Configuration Management Division Div (N41) of HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER.
One year of information‑technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector is required, demonstrating the following four competencies:
- Attention to Detail – Thorough when performing work and conscientious of attending to detail.
- Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, agency employees, other agencies, or external organizations) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, or satisfy expectations; knows about available products and services, and is committed to providing quality services.
- Oral Communication – Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
- Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives; and makes recommendations.
In addition to the competencies above, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS‑13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following:
- Perform full range of technical, administrative supervision, and management tasks that involve planning, directing, assigning, leading, and monitoring the work of others.
- Provide managerial oversight for Configuration Management, Telephony, Helpdesk, Hardware, and Property Management.
- Direct day‑to‑day operations of an Asset Management program and establish Asset Management processes that address Desktop Support Services, Property Management, Desktop Support Services Telecommunications and Configuration/License Management.
- Analyze trends, needs, and risk; determine improvements; develop recommendations; and plan annual budget.
- Provide guidance on long‑range plans, goals, and objectives.
