Data Scientist - PRIME, Hybrid - CI poly
Herndon, VA
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Technical Lead to support mission‑critical cyber and network operations within the Department of War and Intelligence Community. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines that transform complex, high‑volume data into actionable intelligence supporting national security efforts.
Key Qualifications- 9+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related technical fields and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Strong experience designing and building ETL pipelines and data ingestion frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with Kafka, NiFi, and AWS (S3, SQS).
- Proficiency in Java with experience in unit and integration testing.
- Secret clearance and a DoD 8570 IAT II certification (or higher).
Applicants may be required to complete a coding challenge during the interview process per customer requirements.
Key Details- Hybrid work model: 1‑2 days onsite (Columbia, MD) per week, remainder remote.
- US Citizen with active TS/SCI+CI poly clearance required.
- Salary range: $133,000 – $238,000, depending on experience, clearance level, location, and contract requirements.
