Lead efforts in strategic data acquisition, analysis, and sharing for large‑scale big data ingestion. Build and manage software infrastructure to support ingestion, modify existing data sources, implement testing and monitoring, troubleshoot complex dataflow issues, and act as technical lead to ensure data integrity and foster innovation throughout the department.

• Lead strategic data acquisition, analysis, and sharing initiatives.
• Build and manage large‑scale big data ingestion infrastructure.
• Modify existing data sources and implement testing/monitoring procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex dataflow issues.
• Act as technical lead to ensure data integrity and drive innovation.
• Resolve high‑level technical problems from ingest to visualization.

• 14+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or database engineering (or 4 additional years can substitute for a degree).
• High proficiency in Java, including unit and integration testing.
• Significant experience with Apache NiFi administration and data flow building.
• Experience with AWS S3, SQS, Kafka, Maven, and Git Lab.
• Expertise in ETL creation, data modeling design, and Linux OS (BASH) server administration.
• Fluency with data extraction, custom logic development, and familiarity with YAML, JSON, and XML.
• Desired: experience with Apache Airflow, Mage AI, Docker/Kubernetes, and prior cyber security operations support.
• Certifications:
  
  DoD IAT II or higher (Sec+, etc.) required.
