Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester-Junior

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester-Junior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $74,600.00 - $92,600.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester-Junior may include:

  • Supports running simulation stations for testing, customer training and demonstrations
  • Operates and tests SIM/NGTS/DIADS stations interchangeably after completing required training
  • Tests a variety of Jira issues (new feature implementation, bug fixes, database queries, etc.)
  • Documents test results and discovered issues in Jira
  • Collaborates with NGTS software developers and subject matter experts during training sessions
  • Creates new test procedure documents to validate new requirements
  • Communicates access across a large team to verify correct procedures and software issue diagnosis
  • Runs extensive regression tests when software reaches the Release Candidate (RC) phase

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's Degree Physics or Computer Science OR HS Diploma/Equivalent with 3 years of work experience
  • Degree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Experience understanding requirements and compiling data
  • The ability to follow established procedures while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in small group settings (close quarters)
  • Willingness to learn to operate multiple stations that support the Joint Simulation Environment
  • The ability to support a flexible work schedule
  • Willingness to be flexible with day-to-day work assignments
  • Minimum clearance required to apply (candidates who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be considered): N/A
  • Additional Accesses:
    The ability to obtain and maintain the DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements necessary to perform the duties of the position, as required by the contract

Physical Environment and

Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
